Bharat Mandap In Top 5 Pavilions at Expo 2025

India’s Pavilion, named Bharat Mandap, has been ranked among the top five most admired pavilions at the ongoing World Expo 2025, taking place in Osaka, Japan. The event has gathered over 160 countries and 9 international organizations, with an approximate of more than 28 million visitors expected. Competing alongside strong pavilions it has impressed visitors and officials with its blend of ancient cultural heritage and modern aspirations.

IIFT to Open Overseas Campus in Dubai

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) revealed the establishment of its first international campus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, marking a significant milestone in its 62-year journey. The move supports India’s goal of expanding its global presence in higher education. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, made the announcement, confirming that all necessary approvals have been secured as well as NOCs.

Wolfram Diener Named UFI President for 2026-27

Wolfram Diener, President and CEO, Messe Düsseldorf Group, has been elected as UFI’s President for the 2026-27 term. Diener will first join the UFI Presidential Trio as Incoming President following the 92nd Global Congress in Hong Kong in November 2025. The presidential trio for 2025–2026 will include Panittha Buri, Vice-Chairperson, Bhiraj Buri Group, as President; Hugh Jones, CEO, RX, as Outgoing President.

IITM 2025 Set to Boost South India Travel

The India International Travel Mart (IITM), South India’s largest travel trade exhibition organized by Sphere Travelmedia and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, will return to Chennai and Bangalore. Focused on travel and hospitality sector, IITM Chennai will take place from July 16-18, 2025, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, followed by IITM Bangalore from July 24-26, 2025, at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds.

India’s Economy to Grow Steadily Through FY25-26

India’s economy is expected to expand by 6.8 to 7 percent in the fourth quarter of FY25, with large contributions from the agriculture sector, according to a recent report by Bank of Baroda. For the entire fiscal year, GDP growth is projected at 6.2 to 6.4 percent, reflecting very strong macro economic fundamentals compared to other global nations. The agriculture sector is forecasted to grow by 7.7 percent in Q4 FY25.

India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025, the country’s leading event for battery and energy storage technologies, will be held from July 8-10, 2025, at the Yashobhoomi (IICC), New Delhi. Organized by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), the 11th edition of the event aims to bolster the country’s position as a global manufacturing hub.
